Sweetwater Music Hall, in association with the Mill Valley Film Festival, presents a musical in-concert tribute to the documentary film Born in Chicago, a Ravin’ Film directed by Bob Sarles and John Anderson, which will have its North American premiere at the Festival the same evening. The concert’s Musical Co-Director Jimmy Vivino (lead guitar) will perform with famed blues harmonica player Rob Stone. Together with special guests, they will present an incredible night of Chicago Blues and music from the film’s soundtrack.
Barry Goldberg along with longtime Conan O’Brien bandleader Jimmy Vivino, composed and performed the original score for Born in Chicago. Out of those recording sessions, the band anchoring this concert was formed. Barry is a producer on the film but will not be attending, instead, the musical tribute will feature Born in Chicago Musical Co-Director Jimmy Vivino performing with famed blues harmonica player Rob Stone, Nick Gravenites, Pete Sears and surprise guests, sure to be a night to remember!
